@Lakshmi Sadasiv: Hi, Lakshmi! Yes, everything's going well over here. Hope you're keeping busy and out of trouble, at least most of the time... Nice to hear from you!

comment to:

@Colleen Gorman: Welcome Colleen! Hope things are going well for you.

@Lakshmi Sadasiv: Not much of a story, just a great garage sale find. I've wall-mounted it and it's hooked up to the computer I use as my jukebox/ mess-around-with-Linux machine. Now it's also a digital picture frame!

comment to:

@Philip Dangler: Welcome Phil! Please tell us the funny story about the $10 flatscreen. I've been wondering about it for days.

@Philip Dangler: Woo-hoo! Welcome to the club, Phil!

@Brian Sawyer: Hey Brian,

Thanks for the invite! Official last day is today and I'm going to freelance for awhile. Hope you are well!

comment to:

@Richard Koman: Nice to see you here, Richard! But I don't think anyone else will know which Richard you are. :-)

comment to:

@Rob Orsini: I do hope everything works out well. The track sounds like a good option for getting some exercise in, and it's certainly easy and inexpensive. Let me know how things go.

@Jonathan Wellons: LOL at your photo. That background is familiar.

comment to:

@Rob Orsini: Recursive debt; it's a great metaphor. It's like a bunch of lazy coders working on the same server. If several people run code that is eating up memory their own calculation is not just lost--the whole server gets brought down. It ties in to the order of magnitude problem too. (If you owe the bank $100,000 the bank owns you, whereas if you owe the bank $100,000,000 you own the bank.)

comment to:

@Jonathan Wellons: That's more like it. That looks like some pretty complex chemistry happening in that pie hole of yours. Rock on.

comment to:

@Lakshmi Sadasiv: Thanks for the blog post comment (recursive debt). That post came after an few hours of pondering exactly how people might spiral into bankruptcy. Sort of a grim topic.

comment to:

@Terrie Miller: Thanks Terry! :)

Let me know if you guys need any cool/cutting edge Rails apps over there. I've always wanted to get more involved with Make/Craft. Maybe now I can, even if in some small way.

@mj caswell: Yeah, it's been on the mind for a few months. The trigger was not being able to sell my old house. So, to keep both housees, I must enter into the the arena of the "new rich." :) Wish me luck with that, I'll need it.

Swimming... Wow, you're going to grow gills at that rate. After effectivly loosing my swimming partner, it's been very hard to motivate. My next exercise idea, now that I'll be working from home, is to hit my Son's school's track every morning for a jog. I've never been much into running, but it's free. I'll let you know how/if it works out.

comment to:

@Rob Orsini: Wow, congrats Rob!

comment to:

@Rob Orsini: Hi Rob,

Wow, I didn't know you were close to cutting loose. Best of luck on your new venture. Let me know how things go.

I am swimming lots and coaching the local age group kids, so I am logging lots of pool time. We have a nice masters swim team, so I hang out with lots of water logged folks of all ages at meets and practices.

Please do keep in touch!

@Dave Lents: I'm actually thinking about going back to the shaved head, in which case I would need to change all my online personas back to hair. Just to keep them guessing. For now, I added a picture from one of Terrie's July 4th's.

What is Absolute Seven?

comment to:

@Rob Orsini: I added a profile picture that basically captures the gist of it.

comment to:

@Jonathan Wellons: No No No! We need your picture home boy! Com'mon, update that profile photo. We want to *watch* what becoming a doctor looks like. :)

comment to:

@Ryan Grimm: You never thought I would leave?? Well, I guess I wouldn't have thought I would quit *any* job just six weeks before having another kid. Such is the price of life.

Hey, gotta run, my boss is yelling at me (voices in my head).

comment to:

@Kathleen Bruno: Saw your new power pole (in the middle of the mud pile). Very nice! You guys are going to be so happy, snuggled up against that poll.

Hey, you should build a house there someday. Just a thought.

Cheers! ;)

@Tony Stubblebine: Hey man, good to finally be here. Just in time. So, what have I missed?
